[News] Jang Geun Suk Suffered from Depression Due to Excessive Workload

Through an interview with Sports Chosun, Jang Geun Suk revealed that he had suffered from depression due to his excessive workload a while ago.

After filming for drama “Mary Stayed Out All Night”, he toured around Asia for fan meetings, and began filming for movie “You’re my Pet”. Not to mention he released singles and full-length album in between all these works; he even squeezed out time to film commercials. “In total, I had less than 25 days to rest in the past year.”

He further revealed that he had suffered from depression a while ago, “Fans tend to think I was taking a rest when I was not on TV, yet I was actually traveling abroad for work. Whether it was in Japan, Taiwan, or Singapore, I felt like I didn’t belong to anywhere.”

He added, “The busier I am, the more distant I become from my friends. I love cars, but all I could do was leave my car in the parking lot and let my manager drive me all the time; I felt like I was living someone else’s life which made me really depressed.” The star was so depressed that he didn’t step out of his house for two months.

Fortunately he conquered it on his own in the end, “It eventually got better when I was filming for the movie “You’re my Pet”. The filming schedule was so regular that I slept really well, got up at 10am and went to bed at 1am everyday. I went to Taiwan for fan meeting during the filming, it was when I stood on the stage and heard cheers from fans made me realize, this is where I belong, and this is what makes me happy.”

[Event] DREAMSTAGE KOREA: GLOBAL FLASHMOB DAY

Kepada seluruh penggemar K-Pop di Indonesia,
Perkenalkan Dreamstage Korea yang sedang berencana untuk mengadakan audisi global untuk mencari bakat-bakat baru untuk diberi kesempatan untuk berkiprah di industri K-Pop. Ia bekerja sama dengan Youtube dan satu stasiun TV terkenal di Korea Selatan untuk mendokumentasikan acara ini dan memastikannya dapat ditonton oleh banyak orang di seluruh dunia. Dreamstage Korea juga bekerja sama dengan manajemen-manajemen K-Pop terkenal dan memiliki kemampuan untuk mendatangkan artis-artis K-Pop favorit ke banyak negara. Untuk itu, ada satu persyaratan.

Dreamstage Korea akan mengadakan Global Flashmob Day secara serempak pada tanggal 30 Juli 2011, pukul 15.00 (waktu lokal) di seluruh dunia. Kegiatan ini akan diliput oleh jurnalis-jurnalis dari media massa di Korea Selatan, dan nantinya akan ditayangkan di stasiun TV yang telah disepakati oleh Dreamstage Korea. Negara dengan flashmob terheboh dan paling mengesankan, akan didatangi oleh Dreamstage Korea dalam acara Global Audition 2011-nya, dan tidak hanya itu, artis K-Pop yang paling banyak ditarikan dan dinyanyikan pada saat flashmob juga akan didatangkan ke negara terpilih tersebut sebagai pengisi acara. Ini adalah kesempatan emas kita untuk mendatangkan artis K-Pop favorit kita ke Indonesia.

Untuk itu, kami, panitia Dreamstage Korea:  Global Flashmob Day Indonesia, mengundang teman-teman dari seluruh fandom K-Pop di Indonesia untuk hadir di:

Tempat: Monas
Waktu: 12.00 – 17.00 WIB

Flashmob akan dimulai pukul 15.00 WIB, teman-teman diharapkan dapat datang pukul 12.00 WIB untuk persiapan (latihan tari dll). Teman-teman silakan mengajak orang sebanyak-banyaknya dan kenakan kaos fandom masing-masing. Kalian juga boleh membawa lightstick, fansign, fanboard, apapun yang dapat menunjukkan betapa besar keinginan kita akan kedatangan artis tersebut di Indonesia. Makin banyak orang yang berpartisipasi, akan makin sukses acara ini.

Acara ini tidak dipungut biaya. Kami hanya butuh keikhlasan teman-teman untuk menyukseskan acara ini. Supaya kami dapat memprediksi jumlah peserta, mohon konfirmasi kedatangan kalian pada formulir di bawah ini :

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye to sing CNBlue's song 'I Will Forget You' for Heartstrings

In Episode 7 of MBC drama Heartstrings, Park Shin Hye is spotted singing CNblue's song. The episode will tell the story of her character, Lee Kyu Won, taking part in an audition for the lead role of the school's 100th Year Anniversary Musical.

In the previous episode's last scene, Kyu Won sees a crying Lee Shin in the arms of dance professor Yoonsu. Lee Shin is heartbroken as his father has passed away. Kyu Won is disappointed and tears up as she sees Yoonsu hugging Shin. Kyu Won vows not to care about Lee Shin's personal life anymore.

However, Lee Shin's band 'The Stupid' and Kyu Won's group 'The Invincible Wind Flowers' are appointed by the school to co-write a song for the 100th Anniversary Musical. They have to combine the two contrasting elements of music - traditional and modern - to create a new and interesting song. Given the mission, the two groups have to live together in a dormitory, thus begin the adventures of the students' stay at the horrifying and seemingly-haunted dorm. An awkward atmosphere is evident between Kyu Won and Shin as Kyu Won's heart is still stinging from what she saw the other night.

A representative of JS Pictures stated 'There have been a lot of complaints about the lack of love-line between Kyu Won and Lee Shin. But in the upcoming episode, everything will change. During the filming of the living-together-in-dorm scenes, Park Shin Hye, Jung Yonghwa and Kang Minhyuk were chatting about their high school memories and more."

Meanwhile, the musical's director, former Broadway director Suk Hyun (starring Song Chang Ui) announces the theme of the celebratory musical - Love, Kyu Won chooses 'I Will Forget You' as her song for audition. The song's lyrics are Kyu Won's thoughts and feelings towards Lee Shin (starring Jung Yonghwa).

During the audition, Kyu Won tears up. Lee Shin, who is watching the teary confession in the hall, appears to be in deep thought as the music moves his heart. The producer said 'Park Shin Hye was very into her character. When she sings the song at the audition scene, the rest of the cast and crew are deeply moved by her performance, too.Please look forward to a music performance with traditional music and applied music combined together."

The 7th episode of Heartstrings will air tonight, July 20th, on MBC at 9:55pm.
