Jang Keun Suk, a popular Korean actor, has attracted much attention when he was chosen as a cover model for Men’s Non-No, Japan’s famous fashion magazine. It is the first time that a Korean celebrity’s face is on the cover of the magazine.

The pictorial shooting was held in southern Seoul, during which he gave off a wide range of his charms, changing outfits of different types more than five times. He’s expected to show off diverse charms through the photos by transforming himself into several characters from a strong, masculine guy to a bright boy with genial smiles, and to a gracefully beautiful person who blurs the lines between men and women.

He well radiated his youthful spirits and enthusiasm fit for each outfit of different theme, satisfying any demands of the photographer. His chic, charismatic poses proved Jang’s name as an Asian star.

At the end of the shooting, he drew astonishing praises and applause from the Japanese staff who bothered to visit Korea to take his photos. One of the staff members says, “His strong concentration impressed us all. During breaks, he dances to his favorite songs, but as the shooting restarts, he’s soon back to where he stopped, smartly absorbing any demands of the photographer and creating satisfying poses and expressions. I was also moved by his considerate attitude toward each staff member. What’s more, I could read his sincerity from his constant efforts to brighten up the atmosphere of the shooting.”

Earlier, he was chosen as a cover model for Anan, Japan’s famous weekly magazine. When the magazine with his face on its cover was released in March, more than 280,000 copies were sold, which was an outstanding sales success. That’s why Jang’s appearance on the cover of Men’s Non-No has been attracting much attention.

Meanwhile, as part of 2011 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour – The CRI Show, he held concerts in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia, and is going to perform in Shanghai. In addition, he is busy recording the much anticipated film You Are Pet.

FTIsland concludes their promotional activities for their recent comeback “HELLO HELLO” and will soon be starting their Asia tour concert.

Titled as “PLAY FTISLAND”, the band will be meeting their fans at their upcoming concerts on 20 and 21 August in Korea.

FTIsland reveals their concert poster that has a fun and joyful theme. The poster shows the band members holding on to their instruments, having fun while performing, asking for lots of anticipation from their fans.

Their management company, FNC Music, said that, “FTIsland’s 2011 Asia Tour ‘PLAY FTISLAND’ will have its first stop in Seoul. They will also be touring several countries in Asia, meeting their fans with the same concert theme.”

On the other hand, FTIsland is currently having a concert tour in Japan titled “2011 SUMMER TOUR Messenger”.

JS Pictures released new teaser stills of “Heartstrings” couple Lee Shin (Jung Yong Hwa) and Lee Gyu Won (Park Shin Hye) enjoying a bicycle date around campus. In the photos, Gyu Won is seen riding with Shin, leaning on his back, and closing her eyes. Surprisingly, Shin does not seem to mind his time with Gyu Won as he is seen with a rare small smile. The master-slave deal seems to have gotten the two a lot closer as they hang out more and more often.

The unexpectedly fast intimacy between the two have peaked the viewers’ interest. It’s important to point out that Shin has never allowed anyone to ride in the back seat of his bicycle other than his sister (Moon Ga Young), and this action may possibly symbolize that Shin’s opening a part of his life to Gyu Won. 

The producers stated, “Even though we shot the scene during a weekday, a lot of people came out to watch the two leads film the scene – so much that we had to stop filming momentarily to control the crowd. We were able to feel firsthand the couple’s tremendous popularity

The cast of Taiwanese drama ‘Hayate the Combat Butler’ guested on TV Show ‘Let’s Be Friends’ hosted by Taiwanese comedian Mickey Huang.

‘Hayate the Combat Butler’ is Korean actress Park Shin Hye’s first Taiwanese drama. Although there is a language barrier between her and her castmates, she filmed harmoniously with them.

During the interview, host Mickey Huang showed off to Park Shin Hye saying that he had interviewed her ‘You’re Beautiful’ castmates Lee Hongki and Jang Keun Seuk before, and was happy to have the chance to interview her.

The cast played a ‘present-exchange’ game during the interview. The seven cast members each prepared a personal present under the price $200 NT. Shin Hye got Jean Lee’s DIY postcard with a drama still. When Shin Hye got it, tears fell down her face. She said “I really miss everyone in Taiwan.”

Next, Mickey Huang tested Shin Hye’s Chinese language ability. He told her to say the following in Chinese: ‘Hello’, ‘Marry me’ and ‘You did a good job’. Her clear pronunciation of the words surprised him.

The cast wrapped up the interview by taking selcas. This episode of ‘Let’s Be Friends’ will be broadcast July 6, 11pm on Azio TV channel.

With Lee Shin's band The Stupid winning over Lee Gyu Won's 'The Invincible Wind Flowers' in the Rock vs. gukak match-off, upcoming 'Heartstrings' episode will unfold the consequences of the loser(Lee Gyu Won) of the challenge - serving as a slave for the winner(Lee Shin) for one month.

Producer JS Pictures has released drama stills of the two leads from the 3rd episode of Heartstrings. In the photos, Park Shin Hye's character has to buy coffee for her master-for-a-month, Lee Shin (Jung Yonghwa). Although Gyu Won fulfils her master's orders, she cheekily attached a note on the coffee cup saying 'Contemporary Music major Lee Shin's coffee! I spit in it! ptooey ptooey =3'

The set of drama stills is also said to resemble a summer coffee CF as the warm color concept, the setting and the expressions of Park Shin Hye and Jung Yonghwa create the picture of a CF rather than a drama.

[News] FTIsland’s Japan Concert Tickets Sold Out Within 12 Minutes

Tickets for FTIsland’s final Budoukan concert in Japan were sold out within 12 minutes.

FTIsland has started their Japan tour  ’2011 SUMMER TOUR Messenger’ on 29 June 2011. Tickets for their final Budoukan concert were open for public sale on 2 July and were all sold out within 12 minutes.

This is a result of FTIsland’s success as a band, as well as the widening of their fanbase in Japan, ever since they first crossed over to the Japan music industry 4 years ago with Indie music.

FNC Music Japan commented that, “With FTIsland getting first on the Oricon weekly chart, the band has been receiving lots of love from their Japanese fans. The members were all happy to learn that tickets for their Budoukan concert were sold out within 12 minutes.”

On the other hand, FTIsland will be holding concerts in Korea, titled ‘PLAY FTISLAND’ on 20 and 21 next month.
